The staff were very pleasant and helpful
The lift did not work, the tv's were poor and very few had remote controls.
Superb location & breakfast was very good
needs some modernisation -
The wonderful location, and the very comfortable bed.
There was no toothglass in the bathroom, and the cups in the hospitality drawer were too small.
Shabby, run down and poorly equipped.
This hotel was rated 3 star. Perhaps we were unlucky, the room we were given was apparently still awaiting refurbishment and was frankly unfit for habitation.
Thehotel was clean and staff very friendly
I would like to take my mother there but found it not very good for wheelchair users
The fact that you had rooms available over Airbourne and for that the location is excellent.
Probably more a personal preference than a complaint but I have never found the dining room furnishing to be as good as at other 3* hotels. It is not as good as the Chatsworth or Lansdowne which I would chose above the Mansion if all else was equal. I have no strong views on the next two questions
The hotel is on the seafront which gives brilliant views. The Staff were courteous and friendly and did try to help us when things went wrong. I also watched them with the mainly elderly guests and they were very patient and helpful.
The first room we stayed in had a tv that looked as if it belonged in a museum.... to be fair when we complained they replaced it with a new flat screen tv. The Shower was disconnected and looked as if it had been like that for a long time. When we were given a different room....no tv... and no kettle... and they could not give us one..... the hotel is being refurbished...but when I pay to stay in a hotel I do not expect to have to complain before I get a reasonable service. I asked for a room accessible by an elderly person and had to go down 9 steps to get to room.
Watched the air display and visited two very good restaurants. We also did a little shopping.
Our room, although conveniently next to the lift, was very cramped
The family room was huge and the staff members were nice and welcoming.
Having to eat breakfast in a room without window in the basement (and with a dirty tablecloth) on the second day, because of a wedding party occuring in the restaurant room the previous night.
The garden at the back, also sea-view room, and the location was just right.
